The error indicate, the drive is dying. When this error appear in your computer, backup your data immediately before catastrophic happen.
The Hard Disk error: S.M.A.R.T. Capable and status bad doesn’t appear in the start-up, it might be the settings in the BIOS is disabled.
The error may appear during the process or in Windows Desktop screen while doing your work such as gaming or internet browsing. The error message appear; if in Windows 7 Operating System
“Back up your files immediately to prevent information loss, and then contact the computer manufacturer to determine if you need to repair or replace the disk”
You can still ignore this error while doing your work.
With a message under Immediate Steps: Because a disk failure will cause you to lose all programs, files and documents on the disk, you should backup your important information immediately.Try not to use your computer until you have repaired or replaced the hard disk.
With the message and problem above you can still use your hard disk drive but its performance seems. I give an example if you have a Desktop PC with Dual Core processes at 2 Gb DDR3 memory, it seems you’re working with a Pentium 3 computer at 512 Mb memory.
So if you have this problem, much better replace the disk drive with a new one and return the hard disk drive manufacturer for warranty.
